A Day Of Abstraction with Shari Nye

Workshop description

Spend the day exploring what makes powerful composition, mark making, paint application and what makes impactful abstract art.This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced painters and is not to be missed. Most materials are included. Early booking recommended to avoid disappointment.

What you will learn

• You will produce a series of small composition studies. 
• You will develop your own language of mark marking studies.
• How to mix colours using a limited palette.
• What the most important elements of art and design are for impactful art 
• How to apply paint and mediums in a range of ways.
• How to start an abstract painting

What to bring

• Your lunch
• 1 x palette- wooden, plastic, disposable palette
• A range of brushes & sizes   
• Roll of paper towel & rags
• Jar

What is supplied

• Morning tea, tea, coffee
• Acrylic Paint 
• Drawing media
• Painting Medium 
• Specialty papers
• Masking tape

What to wear

• Smock, apron
• Casual comfy clothing
